This is a very important moment for you. Normally, under bekapom hosts understand two things:
- installed in the server drives in the plural included via raid controller;
- all your data once a day are archived and stored on a separate disk (single server).
If the provider has raid, it is wonderful. Mean these things, with the right approach to the case, that all your data is not stored on a single hard disk, but at least two. And if one of the disks ordered to live long, it will not be a problem. The provider simply changed the defective disc and the work will continue. Ideally, you would not even notice, and learn about, not because raid arrays imply “hot” shift discs.
If your host is not only a raid, but also makes a copy of your site, it’s just wonderful. In case you accidentally deleted my site, or some well learn your password (as a rule is either to the host than to be much easier to steal passwords from the user) and broken site, you can ask your host to restore data from CVS. But keep in mind: if you notice that your site does not, spusty month, another provider, you do not help. Typically, the archives are stored only in the past week.
In any case, whatever your backup is not kept host, always keep a copy of your site hosting. Any happens. If no technical difficulty of the hosting arise because, as they say, piano fall on the server.
